Rae Anne "Red" Grover, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Rae Anne was born on August 28, 1939 to Vivian Dorothy Redman and Ranald Wesley Bassett in San Bernardino, California. She grew up in the Southern California area. She graduated from Mira Costa High School in 1957.
After high school she worked at Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica, California. In 1969, she worked for Idaho Falls Water and Sewer Dept. and began working for the Idaho Falls City Clerk in the Billing section in 1970. After leaving work at the city, she was a secretary at Eastern Idaho Diesel until 1978. From there, she became her husband Larry's personal secretary, at his company Triple L Contractors, for the remainder of her life.
On August 24, 1958, she married Larry Eugene Grover in Livingston, Montana. To this union 3 children were born: Kimberly, Robin and Kevin.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Rae Anne enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and needle work. She was an avid reader and instilled the love of reading in her children and grandchildren. We can't remember a time she didn't have a book or some handy work in her hands. She was dedicated to her genealogy with a passion. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, talking about books and movies, and teaching us all the proper way to pick raspberries and huckleberries.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Eugene Grover of Idaho Falls, ID; daughters: Kimberly Anne House of Idaho Falls, ID and Robin (Rick) Stoddart of Boise, ID; son, Kevin Eugene (Sarah) Grover of Idaho Falls, ID; sisters: Marlene (Jerry) Hanna of Colorado and Joan Thompson of California; brother, Jim (Marian) Bassett of California; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian and Ranald Bassett.
Memorial Services for friends and family will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the Iona Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street.
