Raetta Coy Peterson, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away on July 16, 2024, at her home.

Raetta was born June 20, 1956, in Rexburg Idaho, to John A. "Jack" Coy and Ardyth Leavitt Coy. She grew up and attended schools in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School in 1974.

In 1976, she married David Peterson. They were blessed with their daughter Kimberly in 1977. They were later divorced. Raetta met Ray Boster in 1979. In 1982 they were blessed with their baby girl Danielle. They had been together for 21 years when they made the decision to separate. In 2000, she met Troy Wise and was happy to spend her life with him. She worked at Holiday Oil for many years. She loved her job and enjoyed visiting with the customers who came into the store.

Raetta loved her children and grandchildren and especially loved her new great-granddaughter.  She cherished her time with her family. She also enjoyed camping and fishing.

Raetta is survived by her partner, Troy Wise of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kimberly (Jaron) Ball of Harrisville, UT; daughter, Danielle Boster (Will Honeycutt) of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren: Laikynne (Max) Houghton, Landon Ball, Bridger Ball, and Tanner Ball; great-granddaughter, Kolbie; brother, Orrin (Judy) Coy; sister, Evalee (Scott) Liebert; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dean Coy; brother, Robert L. Smith; brother, John L. Coy.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 29, 2024, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The family will meet with friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, July 28, 2024, and for one hour prior to services both at Coltrin Mortuary. Burial will be approximately at 2:30 pm, Monday, July 29, 2024, at the Afton Cemetery, 1199 Madison Street, Afton, Wyoming.
