August 31, 1942 – November 2, 2006
He was born August 31, 1941, in Shelley, Idaho to Melvin Hanson and Lillian Beckstrand Hanson. He grew up and attended schools in Shelley. In 1959, he graduated from Shelley High School. He attended Ricks College for 2 years.
He worked in the parts department at Stoddard Ford in Idaho Falls and then he moved to Las Vegas to work at Fletcher-Jones dealership. He worked for the Mercury Site on the Nevada desert doing inventory control for twenty-five years until injuries due to a car accident made it impossible for him to continue working.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was very proud of being an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed doing Indian beading; he made beautiful chief headdresses, spears, belts, and knives. He loved to hunt and fish and Ralph lived his life his way.
He is survived by the following: niece, Toni (Ron) Morgan of Idaho Falls; 2 brothers, Lawrence (Helen) Hanson of Ogden, UT, and Keith (Reva) Hanson of Shelley, ID, 5 sisters; Pearl (Rene) Johnson and Fonnie Carter both of Salt Lake City, UT, Grace (Moyle) Workman of Chubbuck, ID, AlvaLu Larsen of Idaho Falls, Norma (Marvin) Nielson of St. George, UT.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters: Maida Douglas, Lucy Barney, and Lola Leatham.
