Obituary

Edsil 'Ray' Everett, 90, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2020, at Parma Living Center in Parma, Idaho.

Ray was born on June 24, 1929, to Ted and Grace Rice Everett in Shelley, Idaho. He joined two older brothers: Harvey and Wayne. Six years later a sister, Jean Everett Longhurst, completed the family.

In March of 1949, Ray married Mary Maxine Twitchell. Ray farmed on the family farm in Woodville, Idaho where they welcomed three daughters: Raylene Everett Dick, Kathleen Everett Chadburn, and Deanna Everett.

In 1970, Ray bought a farm in Middleton, Idaho, and continued farming there until 1975. In 1975, Ray suffered the first of many strokes. At the age of 46, he retired to Phoenix, Arizona, a place he loved. In 2017, Deanna brought him to the Boise, Idaho area to care for him.

Ray was blessed with nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Maxine; his eldest daughter, Raylene; a grandson and two great-grandsons.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2020, at the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery officiated by Pastor Ruth Marsh of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
