Raymond Wesley (Wes) Coleman, 77, passed away on February 16, 2022, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
Wes was born November 13, 1944, in Rigby, Idaho to William Wesley Coleman and Viola Raymond Coleman. His father had taken time off from his enlistment in the army to be there at his birth. He grew up in Rigby, Idaho.
On August 25, 1967, Wes married Janice Kay Cox in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they had six children. She passed away on January 20, 1984. On June 12, 1987, he married Jean Sophia Burke in the Idaho Falls Temple. She passed away on April 18, 2016.
He has worked as an apprentice to a cobbler, as a janitor for the school district, laborer at the Old Faithful Beverage Company (Pepsi), and a dishwasher.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed working in the Temple with his wife Sophia Jean by his side in the cafeteria. He was a member of the Stamp Club. He enjoyed stamps, coins, DIY, camping, fishing, and movies. But most of all he was proud to be a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his: brothers: Arlo (Barbara) Coleman of Rigby, Idaho, and Aldon (Glena) Coleman of Wellsville, Utah; his children: Shawn (Andre) Coleman of Pocatello, Idaho, Julie Coleman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Scott (Tina) Coleman of Meridian, Idaho, Jason Coleman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Nathan Coleman of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Janice Kay Cox Coleman; his 2nd wife Sophia Jean Burke Coleman; his parents; and his son, William Christian Coleman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on February 28, 2022, at Thunder Ridge 1st Ward, 4459 John Adams Parkway, with Bishop Steven Boyle officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m., February 17, 2022, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at Ammon Cemetery.
