Obituary

Rebecca (Becky) Ann Pady, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at her home. She was under the care of Enhabit Hospice.

Becky was born on December 14, 1952, in Coweta, Oklahoma to William Lee Posey and Ruby Janette Garrett Posey. She grew up in Saint James, Missouri, and attended John F. Hodge High School, graduating in 1971. After graduating from high school, she moved to San Diego, California. She also lived in Childress, Texas, San Antonio, Texas, Rockport, Texas, and Corpus Christi, Texas.

She earned her RN and BSN degrees from Texas A&M University. Becky met Lawrence Dowell Mallory on April 13, 2001, and subsequently married a year later on April 15, 2002. Larry passed away on August 15, 2005. Becky then moved to Idaho Falls on August 1, 2013, to be closer to her family.

Becky was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She dedicated her life to nursing and for many years was a Director of Nursing and Regional Nurse Consultant for long-term care facilities. She also had an artistic flair and enjoyed working with crafts and paints. Becky was a beloved sister, mother, and friend and she lived her life caring deeply for those who surrounded her.

She is survived by her son, Christopher (Tammy) Parkes of Lexington, Kentucky; her daughter, Pamela Parkes of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her brothers: William Posey of San Diego, California, and Robert Posey of Phoenix, Arizona; her granddaughter, Marissa (Sumer) Parkes of Orlando, Florida; her grandson, Michael (Megan) Adler of Hadley, New York; her great-grandsons: Ryder Adler and Austin Adler of Hadley, New York; her stepmother, Ruth Posey of Crowell, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Brent Posey.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Online condolences may be sent to www.coltrinmortuary.com .
