Richard Glen Colby Sr., 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 31, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center due to respiratory failure.

He was born December 4, 1949, in Idaho Falls.

Richard was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam from 1969-1971.  He was in the PFC 1st Airborne Calvary.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Harrison Deloss (Judy) Colby of Idaho Falls; Shirley Elizabeth (Gale) Harkness of Idaho Falls; Charles Marvin Colby of Portland, Oregon; Rachel Iris Carlson of Orange County California; children: Gloria Linda (Mario) Rodriquiz, Ralph Rodriguez, Richard Glen Colby Jr., Gale Lee (Amy) Colby, Amanda Elma (Roberto) Alcantara, and their mother, Rebecca Aguilera; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 21 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

He will be dearly missed.

Richard was proceeded in death his parents, Alden Deloss Colby and Elma Iris Caughie Colby.

A memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Lincoln Ward, 3700 E. Lincoln Rd. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. in the Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
