Richard Gordon Keller, 58, of Idaho Falls, died on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Richard was born on December, 7, 1957, in San Diego, California, to Gordon L. and Doris Gainey Keller. He was premature by 3 months and weighed one pound at birth. He graduated from Santana High School in 1976. Richard attended Grossmont College for almost two years.

On June 22, 1985, he married his true love, Debra Parmley, in Chula Vista, California. Together they raised two children. They moved to Spokane, Washington from 1992-1994 to start a construction company, Cascade Construction, then moving back to San Diego continuing his construction company, West Coast Home Repair & Remodeling, and then went into West Coast Drafting. He was in business for about 25 years, and enjoyed building and designing residential properties. In 2012, they moved to Idaho Falls for a better life.

In 1980, Richard converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served the church in many positions including; Elder's Quorum President, Gospel Principal teacher, Sunday School President and Gospel Doctrine teacher.

Richard loved Star Trek and sci-fi. He enjoyed cooking and everyone always loved what he made.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Keller, of Idaho Falls, ID; his son, William (Jennifer) Keller, of San Diego, CA; his daughter, Cherie Keller of Idaho Falls, ID; his two sisters: Cheryl Keller, and Christine Schaffer both of San Diego, CA; his grandchildren, Scarlet and Wyatt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Doris Keller; his sister, Marilyn, and his older brother, William.

He will be truly missed greatly each and every day.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016, at the LDS church, 1200 Dunbar, with Bishop Shawn Orgill officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
