Richard Dale Kyle, 70, of Iona, Idaho, died December 9, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born August 7, 1939, in Healdton, Oklahoma, to George Kyle and Freda Rushing Kyle. He grew up in Healdton and in 1913 the family moved to California. In 1958, he graduated from Strathmore High School. He attended college for one year studying mechanical engineering. He served with the U.S. Army from 1962-1968. He married Virginia Bishop of Lindsay, California. They were later divorced. On November 24, 1989, he married Kathryn Jackson in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Among the places he lived besides Oklahoma were Lindsay, California; Idaho Falls, Idaho, and at the time of his death he was living in Iona. In 2000, he retired from Exeter Engineering in Exeter, California. He was a member of the Baptist Church. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, horseshoes, and camping. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Kyle of Iona; sons: Kenneth (Karen) Kyle and Danny (Sandra) Kyle both of Bakersfield, California; and Raymond Kyle of Idaho Falls; daughters: April (James) Miles of Stansfield, Arizona; Tracy (Mike) DeBlieck of Nampa, Idaho, and Crystal (Michael) Lees of Rigby, Idaho; 28 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons: Richard Bruce Kyle and Gregory Dale Kyle; a sister, Wynona Seay and a brother, Gary Kyle. Memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2009, at the Calvary Chapel, 4250 S. 25th E., Idaho Falls with Gordon Boyle officiating. The family will visit with friends from 5:15 p.m. until the time of services. Military rites will be provided by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and the Idaho Honor Guard.
