Obituary

Rick LaMar Kotter, 38, of Idaho Falls, died October 27, 2006.

He was born Aug. 17, 1968, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the son of Rex LaMar and Ryla Fon Cutler Kotter. He grew up in the Ammon area and attended Hillview Elementary, Bonneville Junior High and Bonneville High School.

On March 12, 2001, he married Shawnee Jenkins Tuckett , in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has lived in Idaho Falls, Rigby, and the Ammon area. He, his wife, and children made their home in Idaho Falls. He was a very devoted employee of Penford Products.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed boating, was an avid collector of Elvis Presley memorabilia, and very supportive of the kids involved in BMX racing. He was a gentle, polite, kind, giving, and fun-loving person who will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Shawnee Kotter of Idaho Falls; step-daughter, Neisha Tuckett of Idaho Falls; step-son, Kody Kenneth Tuckett of Idaho Falls; mother and step-father, Ryla and LeRoy Clapp of Ammon; 3 brothers, Rian (Wendy) Kotter of Scappoose, Oregon, Roy Kotter of Ammon, and Ron (Kealie) Clapp of Shelley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rex, who died in l972.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho, with Bishop Nathan Martin officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the mortuary, and for an hour prior to the services also at the mortuary.
