Robert (Pops) Andrew Hall Sr., 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 20, 2026, at his son's home in Idaho Falls. He was under the care of Solace Hospice.

Robert was born on August 1, 1945, in Payette, Idaho, to Charles Andrew Hall and Laura Lucille Lawhorn Hall. He grew up in Baker City, Oregon, and went to Baker City High School. He served in the National Guard from 1964 to 1966.

In October 1971, he married Kathy Wood in Payette, Idaho. They were later divorced. He worked at Inland Empire Periodicals for 45 years until he retired and moved to Idaho Falls with his son. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Robert loved to be outdoors, camping, classic cars, and watching competitive darts. His greatest joy came when he was with his family. He will be remembered as a gentle soul who felt he was here to help those in need. He was a man of few words who made a huge impact on several people throughout his life. When his granddaughter was 13 years old, he took her in and raised her.

He is survived by his son, Robert (Brenda) Hall Jr. of Idaho Falls, Idaho; stepsons: Gerald (Tish) Mothershed of Parma, Idaho and Danny (Brenda) Riley of Payette, Idaho; granddaughter, Marie Pantle of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters: Teresia Smith, Betty Norris of Baker City, Oregon, Lois Jean “Jeanie” DeRoest of Nampa, Idaho, and Donna (Robert) Ward of Baker City, Oregon; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laura Hall; brothers: William Ray, John Charles, and Jimmy Lee; sister, Patsy Ann Norman; brothers-in-law: Doug DeRoest and Robert Ward; stepdaughter, Charleen Pantle; and grandson-in-law, Kenny Olehy.
