Robert Stanley (Bob) Hays, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 at his home with his wife by his side.
Bob was born on September 7, 1932 in Roberts, Idaho to William Albert and Leona David Hays. He grew up in Idaho, Colorado and Oregon. In 1951, he graduated from Idaho Falls High School.
On November 6, 1952 he joined the US Army. During the Korean War he was stationed in Germany.
Around this time, he married Jewel Lemons. To this union 5 children were born: Robert, Kim, Kevin, Robin and Michael. They were later divorced. On September 12, 1971, he married Jacqueline Pratt in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Together they had one son, Benjamin.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bob served in many positions including: High Priest Group Leader, Ward Mission Leader, and teacher.
He enjoyed square dancing, fishing, hunting and camping. His favorite time was spent with his family.
Bob was a very fine man, honest, with great integrity and loving. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Hays of Idaho Falls; his children: Robert (Malory) Stanley Hays Jr. of Nevada; Kim (John) St. Germain of Texas; Kevin (Nancy) Hays of California;Robin Hays of Arizona; Michael (Michelle) Hays of Idaho; and Benjamin (Melanie) Hays of Oregon; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Pricilla.
