Robert Paul Schramm Jr., 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 11, 2010, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls. Bob was born July 22, 1953, in Cumberland, Maryland, to Robert Paul Schramm Sr., and Hazel Gertrude Schramm. He graduated from high school in 1971. Bob joined the United States Navy. His service in the Navy took him to many locations, one being the INL Site in Idaho Falls. While stationed in California, Bob completed many tours on naval submarines. After Bob's service with the Navy, he became a nuclear engineer and worked at many nuclear facilities throughout the United States and Canada. He and his family returned to Idaho in 1996. Bob was working at a facility in Wisconsin in 2008, when he suffered a severe stroke. Since his return to Idaho, he has resided at the Life Care Center of Idaho Falls. Before Bob's stroke, he enjoyed collecting coins and guns. His greatest blessing in life was his daughter, Anna. Survivors include his daughter, Anna Snarr (Nick) of Idaho Falls; granddaughter, Peytonn Lee Snarr; parents: Robert Paul Schramm Sr., and Hazel Gertrude Schramm; brother, Bruce Schramm; two sisters: Cynthia Wink (Jack) and Karen Williams (Jeff). His wife, Cynthia Lee Young Schramm, passed away January 1, 2009. Friends and family are invited to a memorial open house to be held on Saturday, September 25, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Family Pathways, 75 Lilac Street in Blackfoot, Idaho. A light luncheon will be served. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to help with interment expenses.
