Rockey Howard Smith, 67, of Rigby, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of drowning. He was born November 9, 1947, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Howard Henry Smith and LuDene Ward Smith. He grew up in St. Anthony, Parker Nampa and Caldwell, Idaho. On November 19, 1967, he married Linda Rae Dollar in St. Anthony, Idaho. Rockey was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a loving, devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed reading, crocheting, and woodworking. Rockey is survived by the following: wife, Linda Smith of Rigby, Idaho; sons: Howard Smith of Idaho Falls; Shad (Elena) Smith of Gilbert, Arizona, and Jeremy (Nina) Smith of Frankford, Delaware; daughter, Angela Smith of Idaho Falls; granddaughters: Chelsie (Alfredo) Dominguez and Lilly Smith of Gilbert, Arizona; grandsons: Shad Smith Jr. and David Smith both of Gilbert, Arizona; a great-grandson, Harlan Dominguez also of Gilbert. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard H. Smith; mother, LuDene Loudy; a father-in-law, Ray Dollar Sr.; a brother, Harlan Smith; and a daughter, Roxanne Smith. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Rigby LDS 14th Ward, 602 Sundance, Rigby, Idaho, with Bishop Bruce Marler officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, and at the church one hour prior to the services.
