Rogelio Alberto Gomez-Contreras, 18, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Rogelio was born on January 28, 2006, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Cirilo R. Gomez Escobedo and Francisca V. Contreras Puga. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Skyline High School. He graduated in 2024. He worked at Tacos El Rojo helping his parents.

He enjoyed working out, playing video games, and working on his cars. He was very loving and cheerful and a delight to be around.

Rogelio is survived by his parents: Cirilo and Francisca Gomez of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his sisters: Lidia Gomez Contreras and Kasandra Gomez Contreras both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his grandparents: Hector and Ana Contreras of San Diego, California, and Mariana Escobedo and Tobias Gomez of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and a nephew, Eduardo Ismael Perez Gomez of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, September 2, 2024, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. A Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 1, 2024, with a visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary and one hour prior to the services.
