Obituary

Ronald Ray Bell, 64, of Ammon, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

Ron was born on September 25, 1953, in Jerome, Idaho. Ron was one of six children. He had 3 brothers: Bob, Allen and Clay; and 2 sisters: Judy and RaNae. He grew up in Ririe, Idaho and graduated from Ririe High School.

After High School, Ron joined the United States Army and served for four years. He served in Germany for a few years and enjoyed his time there.

On February 14, 1986, Ron married the love of his life, Cindy Schmier, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union came 5 children. He was so proud of all the kid's accomplishments. Ron taught them all valuable lessons in various areas. He worked hard to provide for the family and was a dedicated husband and father.

He had a special bond with each of his grandkids and loved everyone of them. He was one of a kind and had many sayings. When asked about someone's whereabouts he would respond, "Went to shit and the hogs ate them." He had an opinion about everything as he would say, "Know what you oughta do is.." Ron always loved taking care of his cars: fixing them, washing and waxing them. He had a Harley Davidson which he loved taking Cindy on drives with. They had many memories together. He enjoyed fishing at his mom's house with his two sons: Brad and Steven. Ron would always make sure you knew he loved you. He wasn't just a Grandpa to the grandkids he was a strong male example in their lives. Ron made sure all three girls knew how to take care of themselves, they spent many hours working on cars.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cindy Bell; daughters: Jennefer (Jeff) Fried, Angela (Ryan) Peterson and Amy (Jake) McConell; sons: Bradley (Allison) Brown all of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Steven (Kelsey) Brown of Roy, Utah; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Blakely; father, Marion Blakely; sister, RaNae McMurtrey; grandson, Teegan Fried; and sister-in-law, Terri Johnson.

He was loved by many and will be missed deeply. We miss you already!
