Rose Marie Anderson, 81, of Ammon, died peacefully at her home August 6, 2012. She was born September 11, 1930, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the youngest child of Charles James Wright and Geneve Bradley Wight. She grew up in the Lincoln area and graduated from Ammon High School in May of 1948. She attended Utah State University and worked on an associate degree, and later went to Boise, Idaho, and earned her cosmetology degree. On July 26, 1950, she married Marvin J. Anderson in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They purchased the Village Confectionary, serving hot dogs, hamburgers and frosty ice cream. She was a registered beautician for 50 years and a teacher's aid in school District 93 for 15 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She thoroughly enjoyed crocheting, making many hot pads, Afghans' and baby blankets for family and friends. Rose Marie was kind and loving to all she met, always doing what she could to help anyone in need. She loved children, especially babies. She also loved dogs, cats and was always taking in stray kittens. Most of all, Rose Marie loved her family and loved spending time with them. She is survived by the following: husband, Marvin J. Anderson of Ammon; son, Marvin J. (Doreen) Anderson of Ammon; daughters: Nola (Ron) Aldrich of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Tamra Edwards of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother who died at birth. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012, at the Ammon LDS First Ward Chapel, 3000 Central Ave. with Bishop Ryan Kohler officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2012, at Coltrin Mortuary, and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
