IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosemary
Carlson
January 25, 1926 – March 15, 2018
Rosemary Kadletz Carlson, 92, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 15, 2018, at Life Care of Ammon due to complications associated with advanced age.
Rosemary spent her childhood in Salmon and graduated from Salmon High School in 1944. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She married Frederick "Tuffy" Carlson in 1950 and they settled into married life on his parents ranch on the Big Flat in Carmen, Idaho where she was enthusiastically involved with the day-to-day workings of the ranch as well as being an active member of the local Ladies Aid Society and the Carmen Grange. Rosemary and Tuffy's union was blessed with six children, Fred "Rick", Roberta "Bobbie Jo", Betty "Sue", Christine, Carl and Evelyn.
For Rosemary, family always came first, a trait she has passed on to her children. Tragically widowed at a young age, her strength and perseverance was a shining example to her family and to all who knew her. She continued to make her home in the Salmon area until 1982 when she moved to Idaho Falls to be close to her children and help take care of all the grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, brother Robert Kadletz, daughter Christine, grandson Troy Denning, granddaughter Kimberly Denning and great-granddaughter Jessica Denning Haizlip. She is survived by son Rick Carlson, daughter Bobbie (Brian) Bartram, daughter Sue Carlson, son Carl (Gaylynn) Carlson, all of Idaho Falls, and daughter Evelyn (Al) Stanley of Derby, Kansas, as well as six grandchildren, Anne (Brian) Carter of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Robert (Vi) Carlson, Brady Denning, Bridgette (Jon) Larsen, all of Idaho Falls, Tonya (Tyrell) Johnson of Rigby and Jacob Carlson of Derby, Kansas along with six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
A visitation with the family will be held March 20, 2018 at 10:00 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. A private interment will follow at Salmon Cemetery in Salmon, Idaho. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
