IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rowland "Zeke"
Boyd Sucher Ii
February 4, 1966 – August 9, 2023
Rowland Boyd "Zeke" Sucher II, 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away from the effects of cancer on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his home. He was under the care of Enhabit Hospice.
Zeke was born February 4, 1966, in Idaho Falls to Rowland Boyd Sucher I and Emma Renee Huntsman Sucher. He grew up in Idaho Falls where he was active with baseball, football, motorcycling, camping, fishing, snowboarding, and boating.
He attended Skyline High School and graduated in 1984. He attended one year at Dixie College. After one year of college, Zeke told his parents, "I'd go back but it would be a waste of my time and your money."
Zeke worked with his father at Burggraf Construction and then moved on to delivering for Drew's Distributing. He then got his dream job at Johnson Brothers. He loved that job, the people he worked with and the people he met there.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Zeke was a snowboarding pioneer and loved winter sports. In the summer, he was always on the water either skiing or fishing. Zeke was a wonderful cook and he enjoyed feeding his friends and family. He also was a talented woodworker and furniture maker.
Zeke was an adventurous, fun-loving man who was a joy to be around. He had a huge heart, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents: Rowland B. Sucher I and Emma Renee Sucher of Idaho Falls; sister Tammie (Stan) Peterson of Shelley; nephews: Matt (Jessie) Peterson of Kuna, Idaho, Zac (Jess) Peterson of Chicago, Illinois, and Josh (Mady) Peterson of Idaho Falls; cousin Jerda (Kirk) Judy of Shelley; many aunts, uncles, and cousins that he dearly loved.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Ralph and Cora Sucher, and Dorothy Ausmus; and a baby sister Nikki Renee Sucher.
The family had a private service at the Milo Cemetery earlier this month.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Oak Creek Rehabilitation Center in Kimberly, Idaho, and to Mady, Brittney, and Cindy at Enhabit Home Health.
