Russell (Russ) Moore, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Tambree Meadows Assisted Living in Idaho Falls. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

Russ was born July 30, 1939, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Lowell Moore and Geraldine Wagner Moore. He attended school in Roberts and graduated from Roberts High School.

In June of 1985, he married Patricia Williams Frank, together they had one son, Richard Moore. Between the two they have a blended family of two daughters and seven sons.

Russ was an over-the-road truck driver for more than fifty years, where he drove for several local trucking companies. He worked for Doug Andrus for twenty years before retiring in 2013. He estimated that he drove at least four million miles during his career.

After retirement, he and Pat enjoyed many trips to Birch Creek to camp and fish. He met at O'Brady's for early morning coffee with friends and went to Roberts to the senior citizens center for lunch and fellowship. Russ loved to read. Oftentimes, you would see him in his favorite easy chair with a Louis L'Amour western in his hand. He loved to play pinochle and board games with anyone who wanted to play and enjoyed game nights with his kids and grandkids. One of the biggest joys in his life was being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Pat of Idaho Falls; his daughters: Kathy DeMott and Kathy Franck; his sons: Brad Franck, Mark Moore, Mike Franck, Doug Franck, and Richard Moore; twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Gerry Moore; his brother, Jim Moore; his sister, Pam Sauer; and his sons: Robert and Larry Moore.

A celebration of life will be held from 1-3:00 p.m., July 23, 2022, at Roberts City Park in Roberts, Idaho. Cremation is under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary. Online condolences may be sent to www.coltrinmortuary.com .
