Ruth Marie Hill Williams, 90, of Idaho Falls, died July 6, 2010, at her home of natural causes, the same home that she was born in. Ruth was born June 16, 1920, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Samuel A. Hill and Priscilla Bell Phillips Hill. She grew up in Ucon and graduated from Ucon High School in 1938. She attended Ricks Academy for one year. On January 27, 1944, she married Glenden Reed Williams in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple by Spencer W. Kimball. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she had served in many positions. A few were scout leader, 1st counselor in the Relief Society Presidency, as a Relief Society teacher, and a ward librarian. Ruth served a mission to the Central States. She was an Election Registrar. Ruth enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was an active partner in the family farm/ranching operation up until her death. Ruth was very selfless and had unconditional love for everyone. Ruth is survived by the following: sons: Alan (Phyllis) of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Galen (Susan) Williams and Jeral (Jenine) Williams both of Idaho Falls; Daughters: Karin (Robert) Rasmussen of Tremonton, Utah, Linda Williams (Kent Church) of Ucon and June (William) Cutler of Idaho Falls; brothers: Joe (Claire) Hill of Sandy, Utah; Raymond Hill of Ucon; and Roy (Carol) Hill of Sugar City; sister, Ann Birch of Layton, Utah; 29 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenden; a brother, Leon Hill, and 2 great-grandsons. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the Ucon LDS Stake Center, 2967 E. 105 North, with Bishop's counselor Jeral Williams officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Friday evening at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls and Saturday at the church one hour prior to the services.
