Obituary

Sandra Murdock Jacobson passed away on July 4, 2021, at her home in Dubois, ID. Sandra was born April 22, 1952, in Ashton, ID to Ralph Murdock and Joy Hendricks. She grew up in the Sugar City, Idaho area. She graduated from South Fremont High School in 1970. She attended Ricks College, majoring in music and drama.

While attending college she met the love of her life, Max Quinn Jacobson. They were married on August 6, 1971, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Sandra and Quinn settled in Dubois, ID where they raised six children. She loved nothing more than being a mother and grandmother. Family vacations and reunions were always a priority. Sandra had a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and spent her life serving others. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she served faithfully in many positions; including 11 years in the Idaho Falls temple. In 2016, she and Quinn served a mission in Eugene, OR. Sandra loved children and influenced many young lives through preschool, the Parents as Teachers program, cub scouts, primary, and daycare.

Sandra loved sewing, fishing, collecting stamps and coins, canning their garden produce, singing and theater. She had many friends and was everyone's loudest cheerleader and biggest fan!

Sandra was a "go and do" person. When she learned her condition was terminal, she said, "If this is it for me, I've loved every minute of it!", and she had.

She is survived by her husband, M. Quinn Jacobson of Dubois, ID, her daughters; Jenny (Nathan) McAllister of Idaho Falls, ID, Arnica (Jody) Shumway of Preston, ID, and Natalie (Ryan) Hawkins of Idaho Falls, ID. Her sons; Shane (Diane) Jacobson of Rigby, Idaho, Travis (Rebekah) Jacobson of Harlowton, MT, Cody (Jessica) Jacobson of Gooding, ID. Her brother Scott (Debbie) of West Jordan, UT, and her Sisters Becky (Dale) Stokes of Quincy, CA, and Cassie (Dennis) Blomquist of Goldendale, WA. 31 Grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Joy Murdock.
