She was born April 29, 1943, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Thomas D. Jones and Fern King Jones. She grew up in Wyoming, Inkom and Pocatello and attended Marsh Valley High School.
On Oct. 27, 1960, she married Sidney A. Dopp. He passed away Nov. 1, 1967. On Dec. 22, 1975, she married Larry E. Jannings in Idaho Falls.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She worked for the Salvation Army.
She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, fishing, collecting antiques/junk, reading, camping, traveling and spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sandy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she spent the last 41 years of her life taking care of Jeff, her handicapped son.
She is survived by the following: husband, Larry E. Jannings of Idaho Falls; daughter, Tina (Paul) Nelson of Chubbuck; sons: Sidney D. Dopp of Boise; Cass (Andrea) Dopp and Jeff A. Dopp both of Idaho Falls;sisters: Anona Grant of Emmett, Idaho, and Nyla R. (Gary) Anderson of Tacoma, Washington; brothers: Thomas Jones and Bill (Tami) Jones both of Belgrade, Montana; Clifton Jones of Boise and David (Gloria) Jones of Idaho Falls;10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Sid, she was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Terri Lynn Dopp; 2 brothers: Hyrum and Scott Jones; and a sister, Elnora (Dolly) Dionne.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
