Obituary

Sandra Camphouse Morgan, 88, of Iona, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at her home. She was under the care of her family and Brio Hospice.

Sandra was born on March 6, 1938, to John Vernon Camphouse and Donna Cahoon Camphouse in Hibbard, Idaho. She grew up in Sugar City, Pocatello, and Ucon and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1956. On October 3, 1958, she married Richard Lynn Morgan in Rigby. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 24, 2012. He passed away on July 8, 2016, after almost 58 years together.

They made their home in many different places, starting out in Iona, then moving on to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Worland, Wyoming, Boise, Idaho, Caldwell, Idaho, and finally back to Iona, where they lived out the rest of their lives.

Sandra was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a primary teacher while living in St. Thomas and always loved being a part of the Relief Society.

She enjoyed square dancing and was on a traveling team. She also enjoyed crocheting, cooking, canning, camping, boating, and spending time with family. She was strong, intelligent, hilarious, and a great storyteller.

Sandra is survived by her son, Scott (Lisa) Morgan of Idaho Falls; her granddaughters: Kendra Lovell of Iona and Tiffany (Chris) Atchison of Ucon; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lynn Morgan; her son, Terry Morgan; her daughter, Marie Watson; and her grandson, Shawn Morgan.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Iona Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to services at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
