Shannon Dee Empey, 36, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 8, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born February 8, 1977, to Monte Christopherson and Kelley Larson in Arco, Idaho. She attended schools in Arco and high school in Mackey. She moved to Idaho Falls in 1995. In 1999, she married Shawn Empey in Idaho Falls. They later divorced. She worked with disabled children, as a maid and a certified nurse's aide. Shannon enjoyed collecting rocks, drawing, dancing, spending time with family, fishing, camping, yard work, decorating, and being at home with her 4 children. She was a wonderful and caring mother, daughter, aunt and friend; she was always there to talk to and so loving with a big heart. She is survived by her mother, Kelley Kay Larson of Idaho Falls; Daughters: Hope Leeann Larson and Allysa McKenzie Larson both of Idaho Falls; Sons: Braxton Scott Larson and Brayden Skylar Larson both of Idaho Falls; and a Brother, Scott Alvin Larson of Idaho Falls. Private services will he held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
