IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shannon Blaine
Potter
May 3, 1966 – October 10, 2023
Shannon Blaine Potter, 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
Shannon was born on May 3, 1966, in Chula Vista, California, to Dennis and Catherine Potter. He lived in Chula Vista for 38 years and then moved his family to Rigby, Idaho in 2004, he later moved to Idaho Falls. He and his wife Ana shared over 30 years together and had two sons, Phillip and Quenten.
Shannon lit up a room wherever he went. With his warm, friendly, and energetic personality, he welcomed everybody and treated them like family. From his childhood to adulthood, he often brought home stray critters and people so he could take care of them.
He adored animals. As a child, he had loads of pets, mice, parakeets, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, and cats. His most recent thing to do was take his beloved dogs on walks, hikes, trips, and anywhere he could take them.
He cherished his Kia Stinger and was passionate about customizing it. He was always so excited and proud to show anyone the new changes that he made to his car. He greatly enjoyed car shows and fast cars. Shannon enjoyed deep sea fishing; he went as often as he could since he was a teen until last summer.
Shannon was a hard worker, starting his first job at the age of 14, and working various jobs before he started driving truck. He was blessed to be employed at Doug Andrus Distributing for over ten years. He also received his 1 Million Safe Miles award in January of 2018. He was blessed to move to another amazing company, Berry Oil in March of 2021. With this move of companies, he was able to spend more time with his family in the past few years and cherished that time dearly.
Shannon loved his family, friends, country, and Idaho, but more than anything, he loved his God.
Shannon is survived by his wife, Ana Potter of Idaho Falls; his sons: Phillip and Quenten Potter; parents: Dennis and Catherine Potter of Rigby, Idaho; his brother, Nathan Potter; his beloved Kelsey family, cherished dogs, and a host of other family and friends.
