Sharon Norman, 66, of Idaho Falls, died a few months after a diagnosis of advanced lung cancer. Sharon Mueller was born on 21 Sept. 1943, in Cherokee, Iowa, and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. She worked as a dental assistant until she started working for United Airlines as a stewardess based in San Francisco. She remained in the San Francisco Bay Area for thirty years. There, she married Richard Paradis and gave birth to their son, Eric, in 1974. She later became divorced and returned to school to pursue a career as a registered Dental Hygienist. Sharon met Donald Norman while in California and they dated many years before they married and started a new life in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Sharon traveled throughout her life for work and pleasure and in recent years, enjoyed extensive foreign and domestic vacations with husband, Don. An important source of fun and satisfaction for her was doing the planning and making the arrangements for some faraway adventure. Sharon loved skiing. She skied several resorts around the world for over forty six years but became spoiled with the quality of the powder in the mountains nearby Idaho Falls. She also loved windsurfing in California and while on vacation. Don and Sharon played a lot of golf locally and usually took several golf getaways each year, often with local friends and family. Sharon is survived by her husband, Donald; son, Eric (Rebecca) Paradis and granddaughter, Greta, two years eight months of Denver. Also by her mother, Rosella Mueller of Omaha; brothers: Douglas (Gail) Mueller, James (Sharon) Mueller both of Omaha and sister, Beverly Jenkins of Hamer, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph, and three brothers: Randall, Ronald and Dennis. Don invites friends to join him at a Celebration of Life gathering to share stories and memories of Sharon. It will take place from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at their home, 2468 Blemont Ave., Idaho Falls. A Family memorial was held first in Omaha, Nebraska.
