Sharon Storer, 83, of Rigby, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023, at Morning Star Assisted Living. She was under the care of Enhabit Hospice.

Sharon Velda Egan was born on March 12, 1940, to Dale and Velda Egan of Ammon, Idaho.  She was the 2nd of five children, brothers Fardell, Carlos, Roger, and sister Peggy.  She lived in Ammon and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1958.

In November of 1958, she married Mark Anderson, and they were blessed with four children, Sherrie, Ron, Brad, and Mike.  They later divorced.  She attended Eastern Idaho Vo-Tech and received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree.  She worked at EIRMC for some time, and then for Dr. Craig Hall until her retirement.

On Dec. 7, 1994, she married her sweetheart Claude Storer, of Milo in the Idaho Falls temple.  She got the bonus of his children, Ronda, Gay Lyn, and Garth. She enjoyed the job of being a rancher's wife and was happiest when riding and working alongside her love, Claude.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities.  She loved the Lord and service was a huge part of her life.  She and her husband Claude loved working in the Idaho Falls Temple, which she continued to do after his death in July of 2012.

In 2014 she moved to Rigby to be closer to her kids.  She was proud of her home and yard and passed many happy hours in her garden and sewing room. She was a hugger and anyone she met was immediately her friend.  To know her was to love her. She was active in the Rigby Study Club and enjoyed spending time with her many friends, who continued to visit with her after she moved to Morningstar Senior Living.

Mom was reunited with her husband Claude on October 9, 2023.  She is survived by her children, Sherrie Potter (Kevin) of Idaho Falls, Ron Anderson (Kim) of Rigby, Brad Anderson (Brenda) of Rigby, and Michael Anderson (Serena) of Rigby.  Stepchildren Ronda (Scott) Eskelson of Idaho Falls, Gay Lyn (Ray) Mortensen of Idaho Falls, and Garth (Shawna) Storer of Milo.  23 Grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, her parents Dale and Velda Egan, a brother Fardell, and a great-granddaughter, Annie Matson.

She was under the care of Enhabit Hospice and Shelby was a welcome sight for her.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Garfield 1st Ward, 71 North 3700 East, Rigby, Idaho. The family will meet with friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2023, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the service.
