Sherry Lynn Branson Garcia, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

Sherry was born on July 20, 1957, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jack and Beverly Branson. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School in 1975. She continued her education later and earned her bachelor's degree.

On October 8, 1977, she married her true love, Joseph (Joe) Garcia, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Together, they had two children, Adam and Michelle. The family was sealed for time and all eternity on January 12, 1996, in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Sherry worked at the phone company until she and Joe started their family, then she enjoyed her life as a mom. Being a mother was one of Sherry's greatest joys in life, and being able to stay home was a blessing she enjoyed as long as she could. When her kids were older, she worked at the LDS Distribution Center and then for the INL till she retired.

When she became a grandmother, Sherry valued every moment and never missed a birthday or special occasion. She spent every possible moment with her "grandbabies". She was present at every recital and performance. If you knew Sherry, you knew how important her family was to her.

She was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings, often more than one at a time. She was an accomplished and gifted pianist. She could play anything put in front of her and had perfect pitch. She loved to travel and loved her country. She loved to paint and create and was also a gifted woodcarver.

Sherry made sure everyone around her knew they were seen and loved. She was the first to reach out when a friend or loved one was in need. If you knew Sherry, you knew she loved you.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Garcia of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her son, Adam Garcia of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her daughter, Michelle Bluemel of Provo, Utah; her grandchildren: AnnaLynn Bluemel, McKay Bluemel, and Margo Bluemel all of Provo, Utah; her brother, Shawn (Amy) Branson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her sisters: Shannon Branson-Fuller of Highland, Utah and Shellae (Evan) Cheney of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Beverly Branson; her in-laws, Pete and Virginia Garcia; her brother-in-law, Vernon Fuller; and her brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Barbara Garcia.

Funeral services will be held at Noon, Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Mountain View Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane, Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends and family from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, and from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
