She was born August 25, 1942, in Hudson, Colorado, to Isaac Beierle and Selma Swett Beierle. She grew up and attended schools in Hudson. She loved animals and enjoyed the ocean.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Michele) Fournier Jr. of Saratoga, California; her father, Isaac Beierle Sr. of Texas; 3 sisters, Barbara Anne Tannehill of Everett, Washington, Mary Reinhardt of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, and Anna Maria Tones of California; one brother, Issac Reinhardt of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming; and 1 granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Shirley requested cremation and her remains will be laid to rest in California at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho.
