She was born July 24, 1933 In Long Beach, California to Chalmer Lee Donovan and Thelma Lois Mitchell.

She grew up in Long Beach and graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School in l951. She worked as an EKG Technician. She also lived in Lake Tahoe, California.

She married Hugh H. Cox in Long Beach, California in 1954. They were later divorced. She later married Rex Ludlow March 30, 1969 in Long Beach. He died in June of 2003.

She was member of the Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed collecting fine jewelry, watching and collecting old movies.

She is survived by her daughter, Eve (Jeff) Erwin of Idaho Falls; sons, Matt (Jan) Cox, of Thousand Oaks, California, and Danny Cox of Long Beach, California; sister, Thelma (Emmett) Cooper of Los Alamitos, California; and 9 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rex F. Ludlow.
