Obituary
Jean Sophia Burke Coleman, 53, of Idaho Falls, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at her home.
Sophia was born November 9, 1962, in Idaho Falls, to Darrell Wilford and Shirlene Thompson Burke. She grew up and attended schools in Shelley and Idaho Falls, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1981.
She also lived in Blackfoot until 1983, and then lived in Shelley until 1987, finally ending up in Idaho Falls. She attended beauty school, and worked as a stay-at-home mom until she obtained her CNA certificate. She worked at Helping Hands from 2007 until the time of her passing.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On June 12, 1987 she married Raymond Wesley Coleman in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
She loved to quilt and sew. She enjoyed making beautiful quilts for all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, and watching movies.
She is survived by her husband Raymond Coleman of Idaho Falls; sons, Scott Coleman (Tina) of Meridian, Idaho, Jason Coleman, of Utah, Nathan Coleman of Idaho Falls; step-son, Shawn Coleman (Andrea) of Pocatello; step-daughter, Julie Coleman of Idaho Falls; sisters, Trina Newton of Nampa, Bonnie Cadwell of Boise; brother, Ephraim Burke (Joan) of Salt Lake City, UT; 7 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Darrell Wilford and Shirlene Thompson Burke; and her brother Walter Burke.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at the LDS Church at 4459 John Adams Parkway in Idaho Falls with Bishop Eric Velasquez officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Inurnment will be in Ammon Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jean Sophia Coleman Memorial Fund at any Idaho Central Credit Union Branch. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.coltrinmortuary.com
