Obituary

Spencer Richmond Sivil, 74, Idaho Falls resident, died Nov. 23, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 9, 1934, in New Jersey and grew up and graduated from high school there in 1952. As a child, his father took him to Yellowstone Park a couple of times and he loved the area so much that when he grew up he moved to Jackson to live. He later moved to Idaho Falls in 1966.

He attended Ricks College, Eastern Idaho Technical College, and ISC Technical School in Denver for Refrigeration.

In 1956, he married Mary Ann Nethercott at Wilson, Wyoming. He was drafted into the Army in 1957 and served in Korea. During his life he owned Aire-West Refrigeration, numerous service stations and had the lease on Texaco, Sinclair and Chevron in Idaho Falls. He had been a member of a dance club and enjoyed martial arts, skiing, and trips to Jackson, Wyoming. He worked hard, loved the outdoors , hiking, and was a proud and private man. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Ann Sivil, Idaho Falls, Idaho; one son, Cecil (Janet) Sivil, Frontier, Wyoming, and one daughter, Roxann Martinez, Idaho Falls, Idaho; five grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. No services will be held. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary.
