Stephen Kent Brunt, 41, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Stephen was born October 10, 1980, to his parents, Bruce Michael Brunt (Mike) and Christy JoAnn Terry Brunt, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  His birth brought great joy to his parents and both sides of the family.  Stevie was an active child with a ready smile and a happy personality.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, attended seminary during high school years, attended local elementary and middle schools, and graduated from Fairview High School in 1998.

In his adult years, he enjoyed the outdoors, camping and riding in the mountains for family reunions and trips with friends, often including his parents in the camping outings.  He made frequent trips to attend his cousins' and others' important events, graduations, weddings, baby blessings, and other family gatherings, making it possible for his parents being able to share these things with extended family.  Often those trips would mean seeing other sights along the way or in driving proximity, even though he had already driven more than a day for some of these gatherings.  He knew how to work hard and play hard.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Steve and Vonda Brunt; his great-grandparents; his maternal grandmother, Angie Terry; and his great-grandparents.  He is survived by his parents, Christy and Mike Brunt; his maternal grandparents, Kent and Evelyn Terry; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Stephen had a big heart and showed his deep love for family and friends by the many acts of service he gave. He was known for his ready willingness and ability to lend a mechanic's hand. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the Ammon East Stake Center, 5366 E. 1st Street, Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to services at the church.
