Obituary

Steven J. Williamson, age 58, passed away at his home in Idaho Falls on January 9, 2009.

He was born on October 6, 1950 in Rockland, CA to Dean and Lucille Williamson. He grew up in Sacramento and attended Citrus Heights High School in San Juan. He graduated in 1968. He attended Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, OR where he received his degree.

On December 3, 1994, he married Margaret L. Williamson in Idaho Falls. He worked at Ray Dent Volkswagen as a mechanic. He worked at the INL NRF Facility for 25 years. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Elks Lodge, Gold Wing Riders Association and a Sales Representative for AmsOil.

Steven was a man that could fix anything. He loved gadgets and was extremely taken with anything that could be controlled with a remote control. He loved watching movies on his big screen tv with friends and family. He enjoyed hosting friends and family at large parties. He was an avid coin, stamp and memorabilia collector. First day issues of everything was a must. He tutored neighbor children and got them started in coin and stamp collecting. Teaching grandson Shaun how to make a clock out of a metal hubcap was a prized memory.

Other interests were converting Gold Wing motorcycles to trikes (trike conversions). He also had a great love for Indian Motorcycles. He owned a 1946 Indian Chief Motorcycle that he had since he was a teenager. He collected multiple vintage motorcycles that he took great pride in restoring to perfection. He also loved to travel all over the West on his Gold Wing accompanied by his wife.

Steven is survived by: his wife, Margaret (Kiehlbauch) Williamson, son Michael (Michelle) Williamson, daughter Suzanne (Kris) Balch, stepsons Michael Elg, Boyd Elg, James Elg and Chuck (Natashia) Elg, and seven grandchildren. Steven was preceded in death by his mother, father, wife Linda and brother. Steven will be loved and missed by all. A special thank you to Roger Brown who was a great friend to both Steve and Margaret.

Memorial services will 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the mortuary.
