Obituary

Susan D. Kime, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025, at her home. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice.

Sue was born May 3, 1943, to Fred Donald Keane and Betty Rae Craven Keane in Pocatello, Idaho. She grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1961.

On May 27, 1961, she married Eugene Gerald Klassen in Elko, Nevada. They were later divorced, and he passed away in 2019. She married Michael Kime, and they were later divorced.

She has lived in Blackfoot, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls. She worked at Eddy's Bakery and Pocatello Regional Hospital, where she will be remembered for her contagious smile and instant friendship.

She was a Red Cross volunteer and loved to serve. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society Presidency. She enjoyed spending time outdoors: fishing, hunting, and hiking. She also enjoyed painting, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, making handmade cards, and spending time with her grandkids. Sue had a gift for making holidays feel special. She especially loved St. Patrick's Day, when she would put on her Leprechaun costume and spread joy throughout the community, handing out gold coin chocolates to local businesses, schools, banks, restaurants, and hospitals. Her playful spirit and love of celebration touched countless lives.

Sue is survived by her sons: Paul Klassen of Pocatello, Idaho, Danny (Alisa) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Steve (Kathy) Klassen of Pocatello, Idaho; her daughters: Kristi Critchley of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Katie (William) Betty of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her brothers: Butch Keane of Jackson, Mississippi, and Dave (Derae) Keane of Hansen, Idaho; her sisters: Dadrhi (Danny) Lee of Twin Falls, Idaho, Leann (Vance) Mitton of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rae (Larry) Adams of Ketchikan, Alaska, Wendy (Roger) Rowe of Pocatello, Idaho, Carol (Ray) Haney of Newport, Washington, and Billie (Rick) Gee of Tahuya, Washington; 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Betty Keane.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 885 S. Boulevard. A visitation will be held from 10-10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church.
