SuzAnn (Suzie) Erickson, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls, surrounded by her loved ones, caregivers and friends.

Suzie was born on October 23, 1948, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Donald Paul Erickson and Susa Dot Robinson Erickson. She was the oldest of four children and is survived by her sister, Paula Grover and her two brothers: Joe Erickson and Pete (Christie) Erickson, as well as many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family moved to Salmon when she was two, then Mountain Home when Suzie was ten. A year later the family settled in Idaho Falls. She was well-loved by all who knew her. Her love of western movies, licorice, one dollar bills, soda pop and candy bars was life-long and steadfast.

She worked at Deseret Industries for 13 years and attended The Joshua Smith Foundation for 10 years. She has been the longest resident at Life Care Center, having lived there for 10 years.

Suzie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She loved to knit, play cards, put together puzzles and shop. Her dog, Huzzy, was her faithful companion and brought her much joy.

Suzie lived her life to the fullest. She never let her physical limitations hinder her from being joyful and active. Her joy and happiness were contagious, and her visitors always left with a smile on their faces. We are all better people for having known her.

She is survived by her siblings, 7 nieces and nephews, 12 great-nieces and nephews and 2 great-great niece and nephew.

The family would like to thank her caregiver, Linda Williams, and Life Care Center for loving and caring for Suzie and making her a part of their family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2018, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 25, 2018 and one hour prior to services both at the mortuary. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
