Theodore "Ski" Stanley Wojnarowicz, 69, Ammon resident, died November 25, 2011, at his home from Mesothelioma. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. He was born July 27, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Theodore W. and Tessie Ciurlej Wojnarowicz. He grew up in Philadelphia, Penn., where he graduated in 1960, from Father Judge High School. He married Karen Arave on October 26, 1963, in Taylor, Idaho. He was educated as an Interior communications electrician, motion picture operator and repairman, nuclear power engineer, and reactor electrician. He served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1966. He was stationed in many different cities while in the Navy. He served on the USS Enterprise, USS Independence, USS Helena, and USS Herbert J. Thomas. He went around the world once and served two tours around the Mediterranean Sea. He had worked at Merlin's T.V. Service, Chesbro Music Co., and Sunset Sports in Idaho Falls. Ski was a ham radio operator and helped in communications during the Teton Dam flood. He was a certified scuba diving instructor and was a member of the Ski Club. He enjoyed Skiing, snowboarding, scuba diving, traveling, hiking, biking, fishing, camping, swimming, electronics, and spending time with his family. He lived life to the fullest. Survivors include his wife, Karen of Ammon, Idaho, two daughters: Wendy (David) Hay of Ammon, Jana (Shayne) Saari of Idaho Falls; two sons: Bryan Wojnarowicz, and Scott (Erin) Wojnarowicz, both of Idaho Falls; and fifteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at the Ammon L.D.S. 4th Ward Church, 4375 E. Sunnyside, Ammon. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M., Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, and at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and the Idaho Military Honor Guard.
