Thomas Francis Fallon Jr., 71, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away February 7, 2016 at Mike O'Callaghan Federal Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was born March 11, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, to Thomas Fallon and Josephine Veltri Fallon. Thomas grew up in Brooklyn and in 1961, he graduated from Metropolitan Vocational High School. He received additional training in the nuclear training school, additional training courses and some college courses.
On January 30, 1965, he married RoseMarie Anderson in Idaho Falls.
He was U.S. Navy retired. After his time in the military, Tom worked as an inspector for Kemper Insurance. The following 35 years he worked for Bechtel Corporation until his retirement. They moved around to many states while in the Navy and working for a construction company.
When his children were young, he served as the President of the local miniature football league. More recently, he served as the President of Development Water Corporation.
Tom was a member of the Toastmasters, loved reading, golf, traveling in his RV and doing things with his family.
He is survived by the following:
wife, RoseMarie of Idaho Falls; sons: Thomas (Monique) Fallon III of Lathrop, CA and Andrew (Geneve) Fallon of Eagle Mountain, UT; a daughter, Pamela Fallon of Martinez, CA; a sister: JoEllen (Peter) Falconello of Staten Island, NY; a brother: Michael Fallon of Manhatten, NY; grandchildren: Moriah (Michael) Pond of Loveland, CO; Elder Matthew Fallon of the Salt Lake City Family History Mission and Elder Samuel Fallon of the Missouri Independence Mission; Geoffrey Fallon of Lathrop, CA; Drew Fallon, Chiara Fallon and Cade Fallon all of Eagle Mountain, UT.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Tina Fallon-Rusco.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls with Bishop Jeff Steadman officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday also at Coltrin Mortuary. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery where military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Teams and the Idaho Honor Guard.
