With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved soul Tonnia Jo Covington Cruise, a devoted wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, daughter, sister, and cherished friend. Born January 31, 1962. She left this world unexpectedly on April 12, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her love for her family was real, but she was the happiest when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were around.

Tonnia Jo is survived by her loving husband, William Cruise; three sons: Bryan (Madyson) Drussel, Cody (Mckenzie Sutton) Henderson, and Anthony (Kayleigh) Cruise; three daughters: Tausha Young, Jessica (Marshall) Morgan, and Angie (Nick) Zufelt; and six stepchildren. She was a proud grandma to 31 grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to 10, and two more on the way. Her mother, Charlotte Orchard; stepdad, Dallas Orchard; as well as her father, Troy Covington; and all her siblings Tori (Troy) Rainey, Trenna (Jim) Gardner, Troy Don Covington, Todd (Wendy) Covington, Brady (Camille) Orchard, Jennifer (Chris) Mims, Nate Orchard and Latoya Cleveland. Her family will carry her memory forward with deep affection.

Tonnia is preceded in death by her grandparents, stepmother, Merry Covington; her precious granddaughter, Anni; great-granddaughter, Oakliegh; her dear sister in-law, Diane Covington; and her son-in-law, Curtis Young.

Tonnia's warmth, laughter, and boundless love will be remembered always. Though she is no longer here in person, her spirit lives on in every life she touched.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Lyman 1st Ward, 1952 West 6000 South, Rexburg, Idaho. A viewing will be held from 6:00- 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to services at the church.
