Anthony (Tony) Wayne Burgess, 56, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021, at his home.

Tony was born on July 27, 1964, in Idaho Falls to Larry Henning Burgess and Patsy Irene Caughie Burgess. He grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1982.

On August 27, 2016, he married Thressa Rose in Idaho Falls. He lived in Twin Falls, Idaho, Boise, Idaho, and Juneau, Alaska. Tony was employed as a car salesman in Sacramento, California, Kinney Shoes. He owned a Lawncare business in Idaho Falls, also worked at Home Depot. He was working at INL-AMWTP until the day he passed away.

Tony loved to dress up as Santa Claus and was very generous with the gifts he gave to the needy and sick children. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting guns, playing poker, and other card games with his friends. Enjoyed watching football, and above all just spending time with those that he loved the most.

He is survived by his wife, Thressa Rose Burgess of Idaho Falls, ID; his mother, Patsy Burgess of Idaho Falls, ID; his brothers: Nick (Rochelle) Burgess of Blackfoot, ID, and Todd Burgess of Idaho Falls, ID; his sister, Debbie (Sean) Rose of Idaho Falls, ID; his stepdaughters: Brandy Pannell, Tiffany Hefner both of Idaho Falls, ID, and Amanda (Will) Winkler of Missoula, MT; and 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Larry Burgess, a niece Kaitlyn Rose, a nephew Brandon Burgess, and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
