Tracie Thorngren Jimenez, 42, of Idaho Falls, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at her home in Idaho Falls. She was born October 12, 1970, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Frank Thorngren and Susan Anderson Thorngren. The family moved to Las Vegas when she was young. She graduated from Vo-Tech in 1988. She graduated from the Community College of Southern Nevada with an associate's degree in nursing. After her daughter was born, she moved back to Idaho Falls and began working at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center as an emergency room nurse. She had recently taken a position in the Intensive Care Unit, after 10 years of working in the emergency room. On May 13, 2010, she married Art Jimenez in Las Vegas. Tracie enjoyed drawing, painting, traveling and riding motorcycles with her husband. She loved the water and swimming with her dog, Daizy. A love and free spirit, Tracie made quick friends with everyone she met. She spread a message of compassion to all that will live on through friends and family for many years to come. She is survived by the following: husband, Art Jimenez; daughter, Faith Logsdon; step-son, Daren Jimenez; step-daughter, Maria Jimenez; and a sister, Bethanie Thorngren all of Idaho Falls; and Grandmother, Eva Anderson of Blackfoot. Tracie is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Susan Thorngren and her grandfather, J. Mack Anderson. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. Memorial donations may be made in care of Art Jimenez at any Westmark location.
