IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Travis Paul
Andersen
June 24, 1978 – October 22, 2020
Travis Paul Andersen, 42, cherished father, son, brother, and friend passed away on October 22, 2020, in Idaho Falls, Idaho of natural causes. He was born on June 24, 1978, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Rick L. Andersen and Barbra Richardson Andersen. They later moved to Idaho Falls where he and his sister, Courtney, and brother, Todd, were raised. In his youth, Travis was energetic and mischievous and was always up for an adventure. He later attended Hillcrest High School and Lincoln High School, where he graduated in 1996.
Travis was blessed with seven beautiful and amazing children who brought him much joy and love. He was a devoted father who valued his children above all else in this world. Damyiann Vandermeulen, Treycen McCord, Marryssa Chan, Ethan Andersen, Masen Andersen, Alexii Andersen, and Lilly Andersen all held an incredibly special place in his soul. He loved spending time with each of the kids and especially loved razzing them whenever he could. He instilled a love of baseball into his children by making baseball a favorite family pastime and would teach them by playing catch, pitching, and fielding for them. He taught them to be kind and loving and to be respectful and hard working. He taught them to look out for one another and that family was most important above all. Travis gave the best hugs and has passed that on to his children.
He was a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan, and he was especially happy to have seen them win a Super Bowl during his lifetime. He also watched a little baseball but especially enjoyed watching the Cubs play. He had an amazing knowledge of cars and could almost always be found tinkering around on one car or another. He loved playing video games, card games, and board games with his family, where occasionally things got rowdy with impromptu water fights, comedic roasts, and competitive humor.
Travis loved many, and when he loved he loved hard. He touched the lives of many during his short time on this earth. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him. We love you hard Travis.
Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents: Verl and Lillian Richardson, Lee Andersen, and Ann Thomson.
Travis is survived by his children; his parents: Rick Andersen and Barbra Andersen; his sister Courtney (Curtis) Ransom and his brother Todd (Nikola) Andersen.
