Travis Samson, 18, of Ammon returned to his Heavenly Father, Friday, January 27, 2012, at his home. He had been under the care of Creekside Hospice. He was born February 5, 1993, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Steven Samson and Teresa Finigan Samson. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Falls Valley elementary School, Rocky Mountain Middle School and Bonneville High School. Travis loved watching cartoons, playing with his nieces, nephews and Elmo toys and listening to music. Travis was our rock. His smile was contagious and would light up a room; his laugh warmed your heart, a warmth that you could feel in your Spirit. He is survived by the following: Parents, Steven and Teresa Samson of Ammon; Sister, Tanya Finigan of Moscow, Idaho; an adopted sister, Angie (Shawn) Hendricks of Idaho Falls; Brothers: Patrick (Cecily) Samson, Joshua Samson, Adam (Jessica) Samson all of Idaho Falls; Nieces: Kassidy Ashe and Jaeden Samson, both of Idaho Falls; Nephews: Ely Samson, Kamden Samson, Mayson Samson and Payten Samson all of Idaho Falls; Grandparents: Robert "Bob" (Barbara) Samson of Idaho Falls; and Bob Finigan of Anaconda, Montana; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Travis was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Betty Finigan and Donna Pinnock, grandfather, Coin Pinnock; great grandparents, Clifford and Sophie Samson; and cousins, Andrew Finigan and Shawntelle Gardner. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Ammon LDS 10th Ward Chapel, 4375 E. Sunnyside Rd. with Bishop Wes Wood officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening, February 1, 2012, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, and at the church Thursday one hour prior to the services.
