Twila Jean Jenson Denison, 80, of Ammon, passed away in her home on November 7, 2009. She was born January 9th, 1929 in Rexburg Idaho to Neils and Irene Jenson. She attended Madison High School and graduated in 1946. She attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University, graduating with a degree in business. She also earned a teaching certificate from Idaho State University. On March 11th, 1952 she married Rinaldo "Smokie" Francis Denison in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Primary President, Young Women's President, Relief Society President, Stake Young Women's President, and as a Visiting Teacher. Along with her husband, they served three missions for the LDS church: Nairobi, Kenya; Atlanta, Georgia; and the Manila Temple in the Philippines. She enjoyed swimming, water aerobics, skiing, books, hiking, and camping, but what brought her the greatest joy was serving her family and sharing her testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Twila is survived by her husband Rinaldo "Smokie" Denison of Ammon; daughter, Laurie (Richard) Cook of Ririe; son, Neil (Kris) Denison of Herriman Utah; daughter, Colleen (Jim) Mobley of Cookeville, Tennessee; daughter, Debra (Brad) Lemmon of Chubbuck; daughter, Carol (Ken) Milburn of Bonney Lake, Washington; son Steve (Shelley) Denison of Orange, California; brother Lynn (Sonja) Jenson of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister Iris (Raymond) Hoglund of Rexburg; sister Lucy (Jack) Blackham of Ammon; brother Larry Sid (Katherine) Jenson of Roberts; brother Kent (Judy) Jenson of Mt. Sterling Utah; 26 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister, and grandson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 14th, 2009, at the Tie Breaker LDS Church, 1100 Tie Breaker Drive in Ammon. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, November 13th, 2009 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place in the Rexburg Cemetery, in Rexburg, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the LDS Humanitarian Fund through the contributor's own ward.
