Valerie Lynn Sturm, 52, of Idaho Falls lost a battle with cancer Friday, November 30, 2012. Valerie was born October 9, 1960 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Bobbie and Samuel Harr. When her parents divorced, she moved with her mother and sister, Melanie, to Idaho Falls, where she later graduated from Idaho Falls High School. On April 25, 1981 she married Louis Sturm. Together they had a daughter, Jessica. She was a devoted wife and mother. Valerie enjoyed reading, playing games, and spending time with family. She especially enjoyed taking special trips to the library with her granddaughter Bethany. Survivors are husband, Lou Sturm, of Idaho Falls; daughter, Jessica Hodges, of Caldwell; granddaughter, Bethany, of Caldwell; mother, Bobbie (Gene) Holverson, of Idaho Falls; sister, Melanie Smith of Idaho Falls; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Sam Harr. Celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls.
