Obituary

Verl Steve Forsmann, 82, of Idaho Falls, died March 17, 2011, of natural causes at Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 22, 1928, in Cottonwood, Idaho, to Bernard Forsmann and Anna Shmit Forsmann. Verl grew up and attended schools in Cottonwood. He later served in the Merchant Marines. He lived in Renton and Cashmere, Washington, and it was in Cashmere, that he met Beth Ann Neely and on February 23, 1991, they were married in Cashmere. They moved to Blackfoot and in 2010, they moved to Idaho Falls. He was a construction superintendent and his career took him all over Oregon, Washington, and California until he retired after 55 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church and he later converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed golfing, dog and horse racing, going to Nevada, woodworking, fishing and hunting. Verl loved sports and listening to old country music. He is survived by his wife, Beth Ann Forsmann of Idaho Falls, and the following children: Dianna Tolley of Auburn, Washington; Jess Forsmann of Bothel, Washington; Ernie Forsmann of McMillenville, Oregon; Tracie Smith of Idaho Falls; sister, Norma Forsmann; and step-children, Kirk Ogden of Blackfoot, and Kandle Ogden-Huddy of Bremerton, Washington; and several grand and great-grandchildren. Verl was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra OHara; 6 brothers: Bert, Vern, Arnie, Jerry, Donald, and LeRoy Forsmann, and a sister, Thelma Marrow No services will be held.
