Verna Lee Bodily, 80, of Idaho Falls, died August 13, 2009, at her home of natural causes. She had been under the care of Creekside Hospice. She was born June 10, 1929, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Warren E. Wright and Hazel Sarah Fridal. She spent the first seven years of her life in Salt Lake and then the family moved to Idaho Falls. She attended Idaho Falls High School and graduated in 1947. She continued her education at Ricks College in Rexburg. On Feb. 10, 1950, she married Verdean E. Bodily in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in numerous positions. She is survived by the following: husband, Verdean Bodily of Idaho Falls; daughters: Vickie (Ron) Salisbury, Jill (Dan) Harwood both of Idaho Falls, and Bonnie (Ron) Carbiener of Bullhead City, Arizona; a son, Mark (Valerie) Bodily of Idaho Falls; a brother, Bud (Jolene) Wright of Idaho Falls; a sister, Carol (Bart) Withers of Portland, Oregon; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009, at the
Taylor Mountain Stake Center, 260 Castlerock Ln.
with Bishop Doug Hillman of the Idaho Falls LDS 24th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday, August 14, 2009, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, and Saturday at the church from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in
Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
