Vieto Torres, born August 28, 1951, passed away on May 2, 2022, at St. Mark's Hospital in Millcreek, Utah from complications following a heart attack. Vieto was born in Adrian, Michigan and grew up in Northwest Oregon where he would go on to marry Irma Perales, moving to Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1983. He worked for the INL from 1984 until his retirement in 2016.

He is survived by his wife, Irma Torres; sons: Joseph Torres (Veronica Hapgood), Michael Torres (Brooke Torres), and Erik Torres; daughters: Stephanie Carter (JC Carter) and Tammy Ward (Dickie Ward); and many beloved grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Candido Torres Sr. and Catarina Torres; brother, Candido Torres Jr.; and sister, Graciela Torres.

Vieto enjoyed golf, billiards, and relaxing walks; but more than anything, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

The family will hold a small service for family and friends from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1660 12th Street. Cremation is under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
