She was born August 22, 1945, in Pocatello, Idaho to Ralph Hedden and Agatha Hamp Hedden. She was raised in Grace and in 1963, she graduated from Grace High School. She attended Ricks College and earned a secretarial certificate from Idaho State University.

On June 1, 1967, she married Kent Richins Frederickson in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a homemaker and seasonal candy maker.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a single adult advisor, camp director, and in the ward and stake Relief Society, Young Womens, and Primary organizations.

She was the Chief Judge in her voting precinct. She enjoyed candy making, camping, cleaning, yard work, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Virgean was cheerful, loving, compassionate, and always had a smile for everyone.

She is survived by the following: her husband, Kent R. Frederickson of Idaho Falls; 4 daughters, Sherry (Darrel) Skinner of Bedford, WY, Paula Gean (Bryce) Killian of Declo, ID, Kristi Lyn Gardiner of Idaho Falls, and Jennifer Annette (Philip) Isernhagen of Idaho Falls; 2 sons, Kent Shawn (Kinie) Frederickson of Idaho Falls, and Mark Eric (Amanda) Frederickson of Idaho Falls; her mother Agatha Hedden of Burley, ID; 2 brothers, Alvin Hedden of Salt Lake City, UT, and V. Ralph (Rosalie) Hedden of The Dalles, OR; one sister Millie (Terry) Teeter of Malta, ID, and 17 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph V. Hedden.

Funeral services will be at 12 Noon Friday, August 18, 2006, at the Kearney LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 1860 Kearney, Idaho Falls with Bishop Kerry Cooper officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, and at the church on Friday one hour prior to the services.
